Formula & Method
Simple Average: Average = (Grade₁ + Grade₂ + ... + Gradeₙ) / n
Weighted Average: Weighted = (Grade₁ × Weight₁ + Grade₂ × Weight₂ + ... ) / (Weight₁ + Weight₂ + ... )
Final Exam Needed: Needed = (Desired - Current × (100% - FinalWeight)) / FinalWeight
Letter Grades: A+ (97-100), A (93-96), A- (90-92), B+ (87-89), B (83-86), B- (80-82), C+ (77-79), C (73-76), C- (70-72), D+ (67-69), D (63-66), D- (60-62), F (0-59)

Frequently Asked Questions
How is a weighted grade different from a regular average?
A weighted average accounts for the importance (weight) of each assignment. A final exam worth 50% affects your grade more than homework worth 10%.
What if I need more than 100% on my final exam?
If the calculator shows you need over 100%, it means your current grade is too low to reach your goal with the remaining weight. Consider extra credit or adjusting your target.
